Rough weather uprooted these seaweed and beat the leaves off the stems. Then they all washed onto the beach, looking like war casualties.

Ngamotu Church
This is the oldest Maori church in NZ that is still in use. There is a mission house behind the church that was in use when we were there, so I didn't get pictures. You can click here for one site that has some history of the church and mission house.
