This isn't the shot I wanted, even though Hubby was quite happy to pull over so I could snap the mountain; but with cloudy/rainy weather, you have to take what you get.
I love the cloud formation and that little bit of roof in the foreground doesn't really get noticed but really helps to provide the sense of distance and size from the mountain.

Oh Betty I think this shot is gorgeous. Have a lovely weekend.
It kind of looks like the mountain is floating in the picture. It's a good photo.
That's a mightily impressive mountain/volcano. Love the snow on it.
I'd be very happy indeed with that shot. Classic mountain picture!
This pic totally works for me!!!...:)JP

Nice pic! I think the clouds add a lot to the photo. Reminds me of Mt. Hood here in Oregon.
Very pretty
Not sure what shot you wanted, but what you got is stunning. I think the clouds add to your photo, but that's just my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.
Still amazing!!
I think it is really pretty with the cloud .... we do see mountains like that in Oregon, the commenter above is right! Me too.
I think it is beautiful! I think I remember the name. It is on the north island, right?
I visited the volcanic area many years ago. Loved it.
That's stunning!
This is a pretty awesome shot. You have me wondering what shot you were looking for.
It might not be the shot you wanted but it's still beautiful.
Very nice capture of the mountain! I like the clouds.
Actually, I think it looks pretty cool with the added weather.
