our latest adventure
We have been out wandering about the countryside again. We started
along the Forgotten World Highway and drove south to the Whanganui River Road.
There were a few specific places I wanted to visit--and I will share them with you--but half the fun is getting there.
Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe (otherwise, known as Mt Doom!).
We saw lots of wild goats--but only after Hubby commented that we hadn't seen any yet!
Wild turkeys.

This is one of many cute lambs that we saw.
That's kilometers per hour, not miles (about 15.5 miles).
This little lost guy had his duck friend to keep him company.
