I had never thought of kingfisher as unsociable, but you are right! Put a never come near our house.

It is great to see this visitor to your garden.
My visitors are usually chipmunks eating my tomatoes. I do have a thistle attracting finches though.

Lucky! I've only seen them once so far here.
I don't think I've seen a Kingfisher. And I thought they liked water. Did I just make that up or do you have a stream or something nearby?
I am green with photographers envy of your Kingfisher. I have the worst picture I’ve ever blogged in my post today, because I was so proud to finally get a picture of one (even a bad one). I do actually appreciate yours showing what a good one looks like! (Ours that I see aren’t as colorful and pretty as yours in the first place, but they are better than my picture shows.)

I used to like to see kingfisher but these days, I prefer them to keep their distance. I suspect they and other birds have been fishing off my fish pond. My guppies are dwindling in number.

You must have water in your garden if your attacking these birds. I live near marshy areas, so I see them above the roads while driving. But I've never seen one in my garden.

Lovely. It is the Sacred Kingfisher species. Apparently the holy bird for Polynesians, who believed the bird had control over the waves. I love these fun facts related to birds :)
