Yes, country life is a great source of joy and peace.
To me, there is something so appealing about the rural life, having almost always lived in cities and suburbs.

I've seen barns and stalls like this around here, too, although many are disappearing as land is being sold to developers.
That reminds me of where I grew up. Shacks everywhere. Yards full of old stuff and junk.
I love this scene! Looks quiet and serene and that Yucca Tree gives it character!
Looks like an old milking shed, gotta love old buildings.

There is an old, old barn down the road that is in very bad shape, but I keep thinking I'm going to ride down and get a photo. Old buildings/barns as I drive through the country are somehow appealing, Especially barns because probably flourishing at one time in history.
Those kind of sheds give you a real feeling of history don't they.

Oh I just love old sheds! They have such a rustic beauty and I always wonder what theyve seen in their time. It's a shame so many are either torn down to make way for shiny new ones or simply left to rot into the ground. Great pic!

What a fabulous shot Betty - and so reminiscent of fishing trips to the coast (Mokau, Awakino and Marakopa area) with the family as I was growing up... makes me quite nostalgic :)
