a visit to waikato

We spent two days in the Waikato area of the North Island. These are some of the sights
along the way.

I probably have ten photos of this rock formation!

I have no idea what kind of tree this is, but it sure was pretty.

The kiwi shaped vents on this bus reminded me of
a roadkill tally! I know that's so bad !

I love that this horse was in a pasture of buttercups.

Who needs a lawn mower when you have Highland cattle :)

This is a representation of a Moa, that was hunted to extinction in NZ.

This little church is in Ongarue. It's so far away from the
civilization that the photo has no GPS!

...Betty, a wonderful collection, I love to tag-a-long with you as you travel. The tree looks like Fagus (beech).

A great place to visit.
The Moa bird was huge, sad it was hunted.
Loved the caper van and the beautiful horse in the buttercups.
Have a wonderful weekend :)

The church is cute. And it looks like several people managed to find it and make it a (permanent) home.

So many precious shots. The Mystery Machine brought back merry memories of watching the TV show after school .... And such an elegant horse. Have a great week!
