South Island sights

Once I get out of the farmland of Taranaki, I am charmed by the historic buildings and scenes of the rest of New Zealand, especially in the South Island. These are some more of the sights that grabbed my attention while we were there. Some of the photos are just drive-by's out the car window but I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw :)

I don't know much about New Zealand. Beautiful photos. I love old architecture and those green meadows are so inviting.

Interessante arquitectura. O farol é magnifico e o "mundo dos potes de chá" muito engraçado.

We would love a drive through country like this ... there must be quite a story behind 'Teapot Land'..... I enjoy 'quirky' and that stop obviously qualifies.

These are great photos! The Herbert Building has so much intriguing character to it. The historical aspect of the buildings - with all the detail - are so beautiful. A lot of the historical buildings in the downtown areas in urban areas in Minnesota (United States) have been taken down and replaced with generic skyscrapers. It's too bad. A lot of the uniqueness and charm is lost in the process. It looks like you captured it beautifully in New Zealand. Thank you for sharing a part of your world with others! It was so enjoyable to be able to "visit" another country this afternoon. :)
