Driving along in dairy and sheep country, this was a surprise
to find beside the road!

This is a very surprising guest. It was impossible not to photograph him
What a nice image! Quite a surprise!
Thank you and Happy WW! A fine week!
Emus are supposed to be good pets as they bond with the first person they see after hatching. I wonder if this is a pet or part of a breeding flock for eggs and meat.
What an unusual bird to find in that field. Might think it could just hop over the fence. Thank you for maintaining this site where we can share our photos.
Thank you friend
Didn´t it fly away? Haha, I know it is too heavy
All the best

That's a lovely find along the way. Is that an Emu?
Thank you for hosting, Betty.
I hope you are having a good week. :)
I love Ostriches! Emu's on the other hand....
Suprising low fence for the bird
That is a cute emu! Thanks for this wonderful event
I haven't seen an ostrich for many years on a farm.
What a surprising find!
Happy Wednesday and thanks for hosting, Betty 💐
What a surprised find. It is a heavy bird.
That's nice :)
This is truly a surprise and a special guest. You've captured it well. I remember once I captured a peacock while we were travelling.
Thanks for hosting. Have a great day!
That would be a surprise to see! Thanks for the party.
Looks amazing! Any eggs around? ;-)
A huge surprise. The are huge.
Thank you for hosting.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. ♥
Wow, dear Betty! Is that an emu or an African ostrich living in an enclosure here?

Interesting capture.
Wish I'd been there to see that!
That was a surprise!
Happy November wishes.
All the best Jan
What a whopping great bird! It would surprise me too!
These unusual birds are really unique, they impress with their long necks and with their very strong legs and they are said to be as stupid as beans.
