I always wonder what the hanging fences were built to do.

Very puzzling...!
Interesting question... but I don't know. Thank you for hosting. Have a good week.
That hanging fence must be there to give birds something to land on.
I hope it is to keep critters from taking a tumble. Or maybe it is a sky ladder that fell. Probably that.
What a great picture ;-)
Greetings from Germany

And did you discovered?
I love to see for example stairs to nowhere. I can imagine what ever I want!
Happy WW and a fine week!
Hihii, hängen die wirklich, das sieht ja richtig gut aus.
Liebe Grüße Eva
Yes, now that is the question, Betty.
Thank you for hosting.
Beautiful setting! I don't think I've ever seen a hanging fence before.
You know you're in New Zealand when you see these just about everywhere.
Interesting fences there.
... just marking boundaries, I guess. :)
That's a great photo. :)
Thank You
So people or animal will not fall off the cliff?
I'm curious too. Have you found out?
Never heard of this - going to have to google...
very odd. Or is it a ladder to get down the cliff? Interested to know more! Happy travels, stay safe and thanks again for the link
A great question and such a great pic.
Interesting hanging fence. I am curious too and want to know the answer to your question. Thank you for hosting. Have a great day.
Really an interesting question, dear Betty, and a nice photo. I suppose the fence is supposed to just indicate to everyone up on the hill that it's going down behind it ;-)
All the best from Austria

That's great, Loved the pic.
Now that is curious! Perhaps one could use it as a ladder?
Happy Weds, Betty!
I suggest: Maybe so that the wolf cannot sneak up on it? All jokes aside, probably just to keep the animals from getting out? There should also be climbing artists!
PS: Thanks for hosting, Betty!
I have no idea. Something to research.
Thank you for hosting the fun.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Betty. ♥
Yes, what is that fence suppose to do? Mark a boundary? Thanks for the party!
What is the use of this carefully fenced place? It looks steep and poor ...
Happy WW, Betty! ♥
probably to keep animal away from the steep.
Quite beautiful actually. :)
Thank you for another lovely party!
Enjoy the weekend,
Amalia
