This reminds me of the Killdeer bird. It shrieks and fans its tail like that when danger lurks.
Perfectly named little fellow. We had some adorable bright green birds visit last spring, summer and fall...never to have been seen before or after. I think they were a gift to give us something to enjoy during the Covid lockdowns.
