There are some famous rocks in the south island that attract tourists because of their shape, but this photo was taken in Taranaki at Tongaporutu.

That is an awesome shot! Serene, just beautiful!
So fascinating to see these round rock balls, Betty.
Happy Tuesday!
Wonderful beach scene with great textures, patterns, and reflections.
What a gorgeous view! I'm going to pack my suitcase!
Love me a rocky beach! And this one, the rocks really are for sure rather more than ordinary! Thanks for hosting. As always.
Looks like a beautiful and peaceful place!
I like the looks of that beach!
That's so pretty!! I can see why the tourists come....
A beautiful picture and view
...that sure is a gorgeous image!
Very cool shot and angle. I love how it seems so many Kiwi words have "Tonga" in them. That scene reminds me of the OR coast. How's the weather out by you?
You have those boulders too! They are fascinating.
What a mysterious looking shoreline. So amazing!
Good morning!
I'd like to be at that place... Immediately :-)
Grretings from Vienna, babsy
Those stones do look intriguing!
Stunning view. Awesome click.
Fascinating rock shapes and the design left on the sand on the beach. Have a wonderful day!
Funny indeed. Your shot is very beautiful.
Have a nice week and thanks for hosting!
A picture to dream!
That boulder looks every bit as interesting as its more famous cousins. And the light you've captured on the beach makes for a wonderful photograph.
Such an amazing photo that is full of serenity!
Those rocks are really unusual! Beautiful photos!
So very beautiful. Very nice. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
There is an otherworldly quality to the beach photo. The large stones look like beasts and the sand looks like low wind rippled through.
Gorgeous shot!
Dear Betty,

Your photo is a dream, it must be very beautiful there.
