Some Bay of Plenty sights

I was fascinated by the fact that pine trees are cut close to the trunk on both sides to use as fences/windbreaks.

You found some fine subjects for your camera. Never came across the Dali Lama quote before. Would have to think about it as both love and cooking benefit from rational planning. Love your last picture :-)

anything with boats wins me... though there is not much 'muscle' left on that landed boat! YAM xx

Gotta love a place that displays guitar-playing cat. :-) Using trees for windbreaks is the way to go, if possible.

Based on your photos each week, I think God took a little longer and gave a little extra love when creating New Zealand. So lovely!

Love the shot before the 'closed cafe' pictures - so picturesque!

Bay of Plenty must be one of the most beautiful placenames in the English language, and from your photos it seems to live up to the descriptions.

Love the faint mist over the landscape and the water - can see you are entering a new season! Are you ready for it? You're a good photographer being able to show the atmospheric change! Thank you for sharing it with all Seasons and have a lovely week!

What a beautiful place! The evergreen trees really make an interesting 'fence'. Love and cooking with reckless abandon huh? Wow that kinda' seems like surprising advice from the Dalai Lama.

Lovely photos - what a beautiful place! A shame the cafe was closed - looks like the food would have been good!

I've never seen trees planted that closely together that they become a fence - very cool.

Thanks for sharing!

Love trees as windbreaks. Lovely images. The cafe looks like it would be a good one. Too bad it wasn't open. Love the quote and the cat! Have a fun filled weekend.
