plovers

There is a pair of plovers that, I assume, nest in the dairy paddocks
around our house. They are distinct in the noise they make.

This one might be disapproving of my invasion of their privacy!

Have never heard of that bird. Will have to look up about it. Something new and bird photos are always fun. The one does look a bit weary of your presence. :)

Those Plovers, while breeding can be very agressive to humans and dive bomb you. Watch out Betty!

haven't seen this variety, but a large family. We have one often referred to as a killdeer that ground nests.

I was looking for the linky "my corner of the world" but the red type wasn't a live link. But I might be in the wrong place? Sorry if so.

Great shots of the plovers. They don't live in Florida but I think I saw some on the lake around Michigan once.
