Aratiatia Rapids

It's getting colder and winter is coming so I am delving into the archives.

This is a shot as the spillway gates opened at the Aratiatia power station.

Then it started bubbling! It was a wonderful color of blue.

Oh i love moving bodies of water most specially waterfalls. May i know where this Aratiatia is, maybe along the way there are also some waterfalls. When in Auckland my friends brought me to a waterfall there.

Hubby and one of our girls went here once, but I still haven't been. Your photos are really cool, they do a good job of showing the changing waters.

We should be warmer but very cold here for spring today...these beautiful pictures remind me of the Colorado River through parts of the Grand Canyon.

We humans are so drawn to water and I love to see photos of it running... I will keep your meme in mind. When I hear vintage and a bit of age, I think of my face now... LOL... Michelle
