Certainly is simple but probably worked well in those days
An interesting find.
...it's amazing how simple things got the job done.
Church steeples often served the same purpose here. The old Greyfriars Monastery in Kings Lynn was demolished during the reign of Henry VIII but the tower, which was a marker for shipping, remains to this day.
Don't you love how the simple things worked really well!
Very cool! Just takes two points to make a line, so I guess that would give them their "approach lane". Now days we would probably have some fancy app on our smartphone!
wow maritime stuff sure has come a long way since then.
Simple, efficient and timeless!
Hello, beautiful views of the beach and water. The Shipping marker is cool. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend!
