crazy flowers and conspiracies

I'm not sure that my garden knows it's almost winter
with this rose bud...

...and this lovely camellia.

This is Freddy the Finch. He is the only bird that doesn't fly away when I open the window and throw out some bird seed. He even flies really close to the window when he sees me.

I'm beginning to think all the birds conspire to keep an eye out
for birdseed. The crowd seems to grow in size daily :)

...camellia is a plant that I wish would grow here, it just too cold.

Stunning rose images. Love the finches. We have the same problem. I think they hear the grain falling as we throw it out.

I think roses just keep on flowering till winter kills off the buds - I've certainly got several photos of roses with frost on them. Like your birds, they are the eternal optimists.

That's a regular Hitchcock movie you've got going on there, haha. Maybe Freddie wants to stop in for a cuppa? Beautiful flower photos, I didn't realize it's almost winter. Blech, crazy hot and humid this way.

Your camelias are so beautiful. Wish I had one in my garden.
