Okere Falls

Hubby finds the best stuff to see when he plans our holidays!
One stop was at Okere Falls Scenic Reserve which is a small but gorgeous place.

There were ferns of all kinds growing along the walkways.

It seemed like forever, but I did make it to the bottom of Hinemoa's Steps! Click here for her story.

The roar of the water was fantastic to hear.

The following photos are Hubby's that he took at the Trout Pool Falls.

...this looks like sights from the Road to Hana, but Wallabies haven't spread that far!

Fabulous! I am amazed at the way those steps cling to the edge of the wall ... a little scary! And then the rope swing - do people really swing into that maelstrom of water?

What a great place to find. A little time spent doing research on the internet can unearth such rewarding sights. So different from when you had to make a trip to the library to learn such information.
