New Plymouth beach

This was a community swimming pool before the new pool was built. 

This little oil well behind the trees along Ngamutu Beach pumps a few hours a day and fills the tank in the background (toward the left). It pumps to ensure that oil doesn't get into the water table.

A walk along the water at New Plymouth

Hubby and I took these yesterday when we took a walk in New Plymouth.

In the photo below, you can see where the ocean has torn huge boulders from their concrete settings.

Below is lava that has instantly become part of this rock when it reached the cool ocean.
