Heartland Flyer

A couple of years ago, we took a trip on the Heartland Flyer through the Manawatu Gorge.
The weather wasn't great, but we enjoyed the trip.

Trains are the best! I love a good rail ride and have enjoy many, but I've never seen a car with seats placed in opposite directions. Interesting.

That looks a great trip. The guard in Shannon station looks about as lively as the man who cleans our local railway station!

The weather might not have been great but the light really made those colours pop. That looks like so much fun.
