This gate is only seen now by hikers and visitors walking down to see an historic
railway trestle. I have to wonder about its history. If I find out, I will let you know!
How is your world looking this week?

My world is looking brown and at best, tan. The cat curled up at my side is warming me up a bit and I'm thinking of both the heating bill I just paid and slinking up to the loft and crawling under blankets.
That gate is pretty, kind of girly for a gate, but I like it.
I'd be interested in hearing about the railway trestle history and am looking forward to your post.
Fascinating that such an ornate gate should be in the middle of a field ... Maybe there was a house nearby in days gone by!

Such a decorative piece in the middle of a paddock! Great shot... YAM xx
Just awesome
That was really cool! Great capture!
As there's not an adequate gatepost on the catch side I'd guess that it's a case of agricultural recycling by a thrifty farmer.
It is a beautiful gate. Some history would be nice :)
Great photo!
Thanks for hosting!
I must say I love old rusty gates for some reason and this one has delightful scrolls. Have a great week.
That gate is not only functional, but also ascetically pleasing. Well spotted.
Great view, yes, it makes me curious too! The thing with blogging is that there's always next week to take care of first ...and then I forget:)):)
Your photos make me want to visit so much. Beautiful, just beautiful.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to be linking with you this week. I finally found the answer to my mystery flower and wanted to share! Hugs, Diane
OMG! So beautiful and lonely. Please find out what is the story behind the gate.
Thank you for hosting.
What a beautiful pastoral scene - so green!
This photo looks very much like it could have been taken where I live in Colorado
My world is looking sunny, full of sand with no doubt a bucket of water about to be thrown all over me, as it's Happy Songkran holiday from Koh Phangan.
I would like to open that gate of yours and go on a long (dry!) hike!
