Oh, that's a crane. The neighborhood cranes are still hanging about so I guess the summer isn't over yet. Wonderful birdy head shot, the texture, orange head and amber eye really sparkle.
nice to see the Brolga up close. I did see a few when I visited Queensland three years ago. :)

we've actually seen brolgas in the wild up north, but not this close. They are amazing birds. Happy travels.
