This beautiful magnolia is blooming in Hawera. It's another lovely bit if
spring even though it's still winter!
The rest of these photos are from the archives.
As some of you know, Hubby likes to feed the eels in the Huatoki Stream.
He entertains the diners above the mural of eels.

Hello, I would like to feed the eel. They are neat looking! Love the murals, crab, ducks and pretty swans. Your flowers are gorgeous. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
Really magnificent looking Magnolia. And lovely photos indeed. Nice of you to share. Warm greetings!
I like the friendly eels. They are a lot of fun to feed.

Visual feast... the first long-line cliff shot is the winner today though! YAM xx
My, that is a large number of eels in the river. Also like the mural.
So beautiful and great photos!
I so love that first shot from the archives...not that I don't like the others. it just really is a favorite.
Great pics. The Thomas one made me smile. That magnolia tree is beautiful!
You really should have been a photographer (as a job!) I immensely enjoy just looking at your capture -the blooming tree - that is what your spring will be all about:) The rocks on the coast, and the eels (they're so big!) are stunning. In Holland (country of origin) they eat smoked eel as a delicacy.
Your experiences are a great asset to the links in All Seasons - thank you and hope spring will will really break through soon!
I love seeing NZ's amazing coastline!
Great set of photos!
Hi Betty, it was nice of you to drop by, it seems strange reading about the fact that spring is on the way, or arrived. Here we have got Autumn round the corner, you posted some lovly photos, amazing eels!!.
All the best, have a good week, Gordon.

Eels always seemed creepy to me. Love the mural and your cliffs photo is stunning.
Beautiful place! I'd love to even see an eel. Feeding them would be fun.
Fantastic shots, Betty. Eels are fascinating creatures, I have just started reading a book by Tom Fort called: "The Book of Eels". See:
