roadside goodies

Hubby pointed out this bridge that runs parallel to the road.

Upon a closer look, I believe it used to be the main road before  the new one was built.

Roadside stand with blue honesty box.

I have no clue.....

That first sign is funny, except I might be smarter than dog, but he can run much faster than I can. I will stay on the public side of the gate. Lovely shots along the roadside. I am always very careful to leave correct payment in those honesty boxes. People worked hard to grow that produce, and like supporting local producers.

I'm not sure that my IQ is higher than that of a dog, because I can not imagine how to measure the IQ of a dog in a way that it can be compared and I'm sure that a dog knows much better than me, how to hunt.
The photos with the old bridge are very interesting, I like it to see how nature is coming back.

Many greetings
Wolfgang

...Betty, a wonderful collection of quirky treasures, just the kind of things that attract my eye. Thanks so much for being here, let's do it again.

Great post. I think it is interesting to see what happens to the old road when a new one is built.

I like quirky, so I enjoyed this collection a lot! Would like to think I'm smarter than dog, but I wouldn't step over that fence for any amount of money.

Great series, Betty:) Am fond of little streams like in your second capture! I love dogs, but overall, most humans with average IQ have more than dogs, lol!

Love that sign! The old road looks forlorn.

One of my favourite things about driving the rural roads in New Zealand are the farm stands and honesty boxes. I was up north and found cherimoyas (didn't even know they were in season) at a farm stand. If not for honesty boxes, I would have missed them entirely last year.

The sign in the first picture is very funny. The other photos are beautiful too.
