a south island surpirse

When we were on holiday earlier this year, we followed a sign that said, 'Shag Point' hoping to see...well, some birds on the coastline. To our surprise, we didn't find any shags but we did find a seal colony at Matakaea Reserve!

Abolutely amazing photos of fantastic animals! But I'm really most interested in the gigantic seaweed! In my world seaweed is VERY tiny compared to what you show! I could hardly believe my eyes! I actually called my son to look and he reacted the same as me - WOW!

How neat you could capture the sea lions so close! I have only seen them from a distance, so can see them only close when one has a boat to take one there. And your captures are so accomplished:) Many thanks for sharing these sea lions. Have a great week!
