black swan

I thought these beautiful creatures only lived in fresh water until we saw them in the ocean below Farewell Spit.

What a wonderful perspective on this black swan! The feathers look almost "paper-like". And the shot of red on the beak and eyes is so beautiful against the black. I really like the crop on the photo too. Fabulous composition.

Wow! That's beautiful! Great shot! I love how the feathers appear to be curved and ruffled. I've not seen so many swans and I can't say that I've ever seen a black one. Thanks for visiting Sequim Daily Photo!

What a stunning shot of this gorgeous bird. We use to have a black swan in our local park aviary but it was killed by a raccoon that got inside the enclosure.
