Oakura Beach

The day was beautiful today but the sea looks wild. The 'pyramid' in the photo is one of the Sugar Loaf Islands which are eroded stumps of an ancient volcanic crater. http://www.newzealand.com/int/feature/sugar-loaf-islands-and-paritutu-rock/

I love to see the lava rocks at low tide.

Great photos of the sea and the rocks. That sea looks far to wild for me to want to get in too deep.

A beautiful beach, i prefer rocky ones than plain sandy. That rock at the horizon looks like a giant pyramid too, who knows it could have been one!

Thanks for your great comments, all!

@Fi, that's a lava deposit that is one of three that surround an underwater volcano.
