Sallie, we live about 30 minutes from the ocean, either at New Plymouth or Hawera. That said, anywhere in NZ is less than 120km to any coast.

I would love to be sinking my toes into that sand and listening to the waves. I can almost feel the warmth of the sun on my shoulders.

At that angle you were able to capture them in silver, nice! Regarding colors associated with growing places in my post, that is because plants find their temperature maximum for their growth. That's the reason we have the common term as 'cool colors' and 'warm colors', blues belong to the cool and orange-reds to the warm. That is how we also edit our photos, isn't it, haha!
