Oh, that's a crane. The neighborhood cranes are still hanging about so I guess the summer isn't over yet. Wonderful birdy head shot, the texture, orange head and amber eye really sparkle.

we've actually seen brolgas in the wild up north, but not this close. They are amazing birds. Happy travels.

That's a lovely bird. I think I've seen them a couple of times (but not in the wild).
