Betty, you photograph flowers so wonderfully. They are a treat to see for those of us in the north where we mostly see snow and ice this time of year. BTW, The explanation of why a Crookes Radiometer works is basic thermodynamics. In this case, the black side of the vane becomes hotter than the other side, as radiant energy from a light source warms the black side by black-body absorption faster than the silver or white side. The internal air molecules are heated up when they touch the black side of the vane. The warmer side of the vane is subjected to a force which moves it forward. They are used in physics demonstrations, and also just fun to watch spin in sunlight being a heat engine.
Hi Betty, Great job with your photos and the Monthly Mosaic. Your flowers are wonderful. Thank you for sharing and for your recent kind comment on my blog. John
Wonderful, the splendor of colors and flowers in your garden, dear Betty! I'm really looking forward to the warmer season. But we also enjoy being outside whenever we can - recently even had a (almost) spring-like picnic ... Hugs from Austria and best wishes to you Traude https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2021/01/fruhlingshaftes-winter-picknick-in.html
Wow ! Spring can be felt in your region. The Dahlias are stunning . It would be my pleasure if you join my link up party related to Gardening here at http://jaipurgardening.blogspot.com/2021/01/garden-affair-birds-attracting-plants.html

Those orange and white flowers to the right ... they look like craft rather than real flowers. So unique. Gorgeous.
