Excellent collection of abandoned buildings. Always wonder what their stories are, and what sad events lead to their abandonment.

I love this kind of stuff ... and I have a pretty good idea I’ve told you that before. Keep them coming.... I dream about abandoned buildings sometimes ... making up the story that is always missing. (At least I hope that’s all they mean... I hope there isnt some weird psycho reason for that kind of dream,)

I am always amazed that folk don't demolish these old dilapidated buildings - but our scenery would be much less interesting if they did that!

We have things like this too. Many old barns are not used any more because the hay is baled in plastic wrappers and left in place until needed.

I love these photos. When I'm driving around the Carolina's, I'm always snapping photos of abandoned buildings (I'll clarify that I'm usually the passenger and I'm riding - not driving - around the Carolina's)

Wouldn't it be great to learn something of the stories behind the deserted houses.

Wonderful photography... so evocative, and so typically New Zealand. Love your sepia and black and white photos

I love those abandoned buildings NZ seems to have so many of, makes me wonder what stories they have to tell.

Old fashioned captures are adorable. I agree we should ask the barns, the old buildings to their history.

Happy Weekend!
