Wild muscovy on the river behind the house. She can't hurt you, but
she will act like she can if you get too close!

Hello,
I have seen these ducks, they can be mean. Great photo! Thanks for hosting.
Have a great day!
As a Finn I see an Angry Bird! 🐦
That mother duck will defend her chicks. Excellent nature photo. Thank you for hosting this blog and allowing us to post our pictures here.
I see them in Florida too. They are awkward and weird. But I love all birds and animals.
A lovely Story... a wonderful capture.
Thank you for hosting.
What an unusual looking duck.
Thanks for hosting and posting!
I do like your photograph …
All the best Jan
Beautiful photo. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
Mum's will protect their babies, wonderful photo.
That's a unique duck, good catch. I looked it up and they're supposed to be in Mexico and Central and South America. Hey duck, you are realllly lost.
She is a good mother and protects her offspring!
We have some scary birds too - like the emu for instance - I don't like there intense eyes and beak - I wouldn't want to get too close!
The babies are darling!
Looks amazing.
Loved the click.
Thanks for hosting.
Interesting duck! Thanks for hosting.
Can't say much about the parent, but the babies are cute!
I would not dare to get closer!
Happy to contribute to your record.
Thanks for hosting!
Have a great week!
A mother will go all the way to protect her babies. Great photo.
That is a barnyard duck with mixed parentage, not a wild Muscovy, which is mainly found in Central America. In Costa Rica you can see the true wild birds in flocks numbering into the thousands. For anyone visiting there Palo Verde is a great spot for these birds.
There's something cheerful and humorous about ducks, Betty - they always make me smile!
PS: Thank you for hosting, Betty!
Such a cute goose. I love your description of her “ She can’t hurt you but she will act like she can”. Thanks for the party.
Very cool looking Muscovy! And she has cute babies!
Beautiful photo!
Wonderful picture. So glad to be able to join your party!
Beautiful family and the mother does very well, defending her family.
Great photo.
Congratulations on this Linky party! Ducks can be very territorial, especially when they are raising young.
She doesn't have to worry about me!
I really like your "corner of the world". I also like that I have the opportunity to visit many parts of the world through your blog. Thank you very much!
