My Corner of the World

Lichen and moss by the riverside. More photos to come :)

and  Pictorial Tuesday

For those of you that have commented, White Island is on the other side of the country from me, so I'm not affected by the actual volcano. Thank you so much for your concern!

Is that a pink flower growing on the rocks? Amazing where things will grow.

Hope you're okay and no where near the volcano. Nice pic.

Very nice and summery photo. I hope you don't have any connection to the volcano eruption, what a sad and awful thing. I wonder why they let people on the island if the chance of eruption was high.

Lovely river photo!

I am so glad you were not affected by the volcano. Very tragic.

River walks and views are great! Lovely pictures. I have been reading about devastating fires in NZ as well as the tragic volcano story ... I am glad you are not affected by either (and I don’t think I really realized how big your country is!)

Oh, this big stone is beautifully overgrown with lichens and mosses, that's a sight I love!

We have a lot of moss and lichen on the granite cliff at the float cabin. I'm missing it a lot, but we will be heading back there at the end of the month. - Margy
