hibiscus

I was happily surprised that my seeds from one plant last year gave
me so many wonderful hibiscus blooms this year. I wish I could remember
where I got the original plant!

...a beautiful flower, unlike any hibiscus that I've seen.

Puarangi! So different from the shrub hibiscus. Can you harvest and store your seeds? (Or perhaps that's what you did.) It is lovely! YAM xx

thank you for showing the hibiscus! The colors of this white one are gorgeous - I love your captures of the side, so one can see all of the heart. Also, I didn't know one could grow them from seed!
The ones I have seen in Southern Calif. were all big bushes, and even being pruned into trees.
Smile, I'll have to check Wikipedia's story of the real Valentine (there are some floating around that have romanticized parts) - I'll let you know later this week:)

Beautiful macros that promise the arrival of spring. I love the drops of water on the flower.
