Christmas Day in New Zealand

At our house, Christmas Day calls for a picnic, usually at the beach.
Some of the beaches were a bit crowded as the weather was hot!

So, we found a not-so-crowded beach and took a stroll.

Because of the dry weather, the pohutukawa trees were blooming a bit ahead of schedule.
There are definite advantages to a southern hemisphere Christmas.

As your day ends, ours begins and the joy moves around the globe... I do miss the Southern Christmas though, as I look out at the grey and dun of the hills here! Love and blessings of the season. YAM xx

You don't have snow, but the weather looks pleasant. Here rain and rain :-( I hope you had a lovely Christmas.

Yes, I think the beaches up here are a bit more crowded. The queue of cars in and out of the regional park was continuous all day.
