I mentioned a while back that this great church is not earthquake-proof and will be closing. According to the paper, it will not be demolished but it will take a long time to make the cathedral itself usable again. Until then, the other buildings will still be used. It's such a beautiful chapel. Enjoyed the photos of it and the graves. Too bad it is closing for a long time.
Sad that such a nice church is no longer safe in an earthquake. Hope they can do something to bolster it.
Such a beautiful church, shame that it is not in use but at least it is not going to be demolished.

What a shame if the building was ever damaged.
Nice series
It is a shame that the church cannot be used safely, but it is good to know that it will remain. I hope that the work can be done to make it safe for use in the future. Thank you for joining Five On Friday. I hope that you had a great weekend and will have a good week to come! xx
Beautiful building, I'm glad they are not going to tear it down.
What a magnificent place this is! I really hope the cathedral can be renovated and used again in the future. Such a beautiful building. Awesome photos! Thank you for your sweet visit to my blog :)
