They look like they're having quite a conversation in that first one. Those herons are very pretty...love the bluish tint.
Some of my favourite birds, herons. They're pretty common over here so, like swans, never get the appreciation they deserve.

Wonderful photos, I never have seen this species.
These herons are amazing! There is one that we see a lot in a creek near my brother's house. He is always in the shadows which makes it difficult for a decent shot.
