We are just back from two days on one of the KiwiRail Scenic Journeys. It was a
fabulous time and I recommend it to anyone who wants to see New Zealand

I really love to travel by train, but we don't have organised trips in such manner; And I've seen (following the link mentioned above in your post) that you have such a chance to actually plan a travel along coastline. So nice way to see lots of things, landscapes, reliefs, different places...
