moon eclipse

I finally got to see and photograph an eclipse of the blood moon Wednesday night! I set
an alarm for every 15 minutes and am quite chuffed with the results.

This is my favorite shot of the night.

the Lighthouse

The suspense is over! I finally got the photos organized.
Hubby took 99% of these photos (thanks, Hubby!).

Simply called 'The Lighthouse' and is in Island Bay in Wellington,
it's a 'bach' (summer house) built for the owner's wife as a surprise.

Here's what it looks like in the daytime.

First floor, entry.  Through the door is a shower and toilet.

Second floor.

The third floor has a couch for inside viewing.

And, of course, doors for outside viewing!

Pencarrow lighthouse across the bay.

One final look as we were leaving.

spring colors in winter

I am not sure what is happening but my flowers seem to be seasonally challenged!
Winter is on its way and the flowers don't seem to care :)

These 'stars' caught my eye. Even after blooming flowers are pretty.

I don't know what kind of cactus this is, but it looks happy.

Blogger problems

If anyone had problems with my blog yesterday, it was because Blogger decided that my blog--and, by association, all of your links--were 'dangerous phishing sites'!! I had to click past the red warning screen on each link to comment the first part of the day.

I am happy to report that, apparently, someone really DOES read feedback that we send. When  I told them that it was a link up that has been going for over a year, your blogs stopped coming up with a warning and, eventually, I could click on my own blog without the 'big scary red screen'!

I have to wonder how their algorithms tagged me after all this time, but it seems things are back to normal.
