south island roadside scenery

We found some cute, funny stuff along the road.


There were many stages of logging all along the roads we travelled. 



Of course, living on an island means very interesting formations.

I thought this division of color next to the ocean was striking.

We saw several of these little railroad 'stations' that looked well-kept. I will have to do some research on them.

    Love the public toilets paintings...those little train stations are tiny. Just big enough to keep a couple of passengers out of any rain.

    I never got to the South island but only the North and I have always regretted it. Beautiful scenery
