I have to thank Hubby for this photo because he slowly slid--yes,
slid--out of his chair to get the camera so our movement
wouldn't scare him away!

Nice shot! Your kingfishers are much pretty than ours. Ours are dark blue.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics
ReplyDeleteThe Kingfisher looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours on the little birdie. What a great hubby! That's wonderful :)

He's posing perfectly for a portrait. My efforts of "sliding silently" would have probably scared him away - I'm not much good at that sort of thing.

ReplyDeleteOh yes, I've done sliding before - not necessarily successfully, so well done hubby! YAM xx
Great job of your hubby!
ReplyDeleteNice to see a different type of Kingfisher.
Have a good week!
You see, hubby does come in useful sometimes. Nice work Betty.
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
ReplyDeleteNice bird shot!
ReplyDeleteadorable photo of the kingfisher, thank you to your hubby
ReplyDeleteI have never been able to get a decent picture of a Kingfisher, even though we see them (our version of them) on both coasts and in between. They will sit perfectly still until I raise my camera (even if I’m using a zoom lens and not close) and the minute I do they are gone away! You and your husband are a great team! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteOhh, just a lovely photo and the idea of him sneaking out and tip-toeing away to get the camera like a cartoon character is hilarious. The background blur is perfect here.
ReplyDeleteI just heard a belted kingfisher on the pond today...Love these birds...Michelle
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little bird!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful shot! It was worth his efforts!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Someone was telling me the other day that there are no snakes and spiders in New Zealand is that true or were they pulling my leg?
ReplyDeleteSo cute:) I like the colour of backgroud.
ReplyDeleteThe kingfisher 'was caught' with beautiful background. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting WATW.
Congrats to the hubby on his stealth and his shot! That kingfisher has quite the schnozz!
ReplyDeleteThey are such flighty little fellows so good job on the stealthy movements. Such a cutie, I love seeing them, as rarely as that happens.
