These critters wandered near enough to the house to be within camera lens distance.
This guy stopped by the water trough in the back pasture.
One of the herd that visits occasionally.
This year, there were only 5 of these but that's better than none.
Swallows resting on the front porch rail.
Hubby captured this guy out the kitchen window.
The pukekos that live on my road don't get down to my house very often.
Fortunately, this guy didn't leave any scent behind!
your top guy is a White-faced Heron, one I "met" wen I visited Queensland. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I saw that swallow too. Probably a Welcome Swallow.
Nice memories :)
Hello, the heron is a beauty! The swallows are so cute! I love the closeup of the cow. The bunny is adorable. Wonderful variety of photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy day and new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteHello Betty.
ReplyDeleteLucky for you, to be able to photograph from the interior of your house, animals such as the heron the rabbit the pukeko the swallows and certainly others. The swallows are so cute! The bug here we call him a cobbler. Can you see why?
All the best!
Great wildlife photos. I especially like your photo of the cow. She looks so sweet.
ReplyDeleteLove that your and your hubby's photos picture the personality of these animals so well! Have a happy week and thank you much for sharing with All Seasons!
ReplyDeleteYou got lots of critters to share this week. I love the caterpillar and that cute little bunny! Keep the camera handy! You have lots to see there! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful heron! Lots of lovely critters shared
ReplyDeleteI wondered what species of heron that was. Now I know - White faced. We dont get that one, but we do get Barn Swallows - hirundo rustica, same as yours I think. They make the world a smaller place.
ReplyDeleteSo many creatures (large and small) close to your home. That is fantastic! Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteWe share a couple of the same visitors. I have not seen a heron here yet, but a wood duck pair flew in today and they are a wonderful little tree cavity nesting duck..... Michelle
ReplyDeleteI have seen quite a few monarch caterpillars around but very few seemed to have survived. I'm not sure why as there are plenty of swan plants and not too many wasps this year.
ReplyDeleteHi Betty-
ReplyDeleteI am heartened to hear Magicat is visiting NZ.
Good for all NZ fans.
This weekend oat of yours has some really beautiful critters, many of which are new to me. Great photos! I like the classic se-up of the caterpillars in particular.
Have a Happy Weekend!
Peace :)
