to clarify my earlier response: The world of botanical names is confusing: the name is similar to tiger lilies but these aren't tiger lilies. These ones are tiger flowers or tigridia...I have bought them as bulbs and they are very easy to grow... These are a tigridia but I may have been wrong about the lilacea part...the lilacea have a more spotted appearance..... but they certainly are pretty... Tiger lilies have 6 flower petals the same size, not 3 big and 3 small... sorry- this is my science background coming into play
thanks....I would hate for someone to buy some tiger lilies thinking they were getting the tigridia ...but tiger lilies are also very nice and colourful too!!
