They make great photos but I worry how many birds and bats get killed by those turning blades. Thanks for hosting. I hope all is well, Diane
ReplyDeleteGood to see these wind turbines at work. The more renewable energy we use the less likely our planet will hit run-away heating. Much our electricity now comes from wind and hydroelectricity, but that is not the case in most of our country. We only have one planet, and we need to take care of it.

The wind turbines are now seen in so many places, even here out in the country. Lots of them through this state.

A good way to generate power. I just read that near our home in British Columbia they are placing a huge turbine in one of our many tidal rapids to generate power for our region. That's very exciting and natural. - Margy

It looks like there must have been some high winds to wash all that driftwood in. I assume the turbines must have been turning fast making their electricity.

ReplyDeleteI live in the Austrian lowlands - such wind farms are also common here. They are becoming more and more important these days. And only recently have I learned that they are not as dangerous to birds as is often feared. (For example, they are only the seventh leading cause of death for birds of prey. This can be determined by birds with transmitters.)...
