What a fun step-back-in-time experience! It looks so realistic -- if the pics were in sepia I would believe they were from an old scrapbook. (But I'm glad they are in color because I like knowing what it actually looked like for you!)
We had a ride on a steam train here many years ago, the train was attacked by Indians trying to get the treasure chest, the cowboys defended the train and saved the day. Probably politically incorrect these days but our boys loved it. Everyone got some "treasure" in the form of a chocolate bar. Was a great day out.
I love Glenbrook, and have fond memories of taking the children up there on as special excursion train that ran from Te Kuiti... a long day but wonderful trip. thanks for the photos and memories Stay safe Blessings Maxine
