Heartland Flyer

A couple of years ago, we took a trip on the Heartland Flyer through the Manawatu Gorge.
The weather wasn't great, but we enjoyed the trip.

    Trains are the best! I love a good rail ride and have enjoy many, but I've never seen a car with seats placed in opposite directions. Interesting.

    That looks a great trip. The guard in Shannon station looks about as lively as the man who cleans our local railway station!
