Great shots of these pigs. They did not seem to mind you being there. Perhaps they are use to people stopping to see them. They do have a distinct smell that is sometimes hard to take, but they are cute.
I worked on a pig farm for several years and always enjoy seeing them. Particularly nice to see that they have a waterhole to wallow in and even some grass to graze on - you don't often see that on modern outdoor pig farms.
I love seeing animals out and about. In my native Holland there used to be cows and sheep everywhere in the fields, but not so much anymore. They keep them in the barns and feed them there, even on nice sunny days! It;s deplorable.
Fun and great photos of the pigs. My grade school friend had a baby one from her grandfather's farm that she was helping to feed as the mom couldn't. Where I live, the house around the corner has one that they've had since a baby and was so fun to see it walking down our road and off into the countryside. It has grown and huge, but was taking a walk last Summer. The owner finally came and found it two roads over and coaxed it home. Seeing it going down the country road reminded me of a story for a children's book. May have to do that one day. :P

ReplyDeleteCute piggies! When I was a kid, my mom reared pigs in our village backyard. Nice memories of me playing with the piglets.

Beautiful piglets! My husband raised pigs in his 'farm-boy' childhood and he still loves to look at them -- so do I! These look well-cared for .
ReplyDeletePiglets are adorable - too bad they grow up!
