Sorry I missed last week...with a power outage for over two days and then
getting ready for holiday, I didn't get to schedule the post.
This sign is for a 'scenic lookout'. It made Hubby' s warped mind go into overdrive and
made us laugh, as he said it looked like a sign to 'club your children' (or a short person)!
What's going on in your world this week?

Don't feel bad about last week -- I thought it was probably because you'd already left on vacation and it was understandable that you couldn't post! But I'm glad you're back and thank you for doing this. As someone who raised four children, I can quite relate to your hubby's interpretation of the sign and there were times .... ;>)
ReplyDeletesigns can be very funny sometimes. My son is always taking photos of signs when we travel. Happy travels.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine being without power for two whole days. Glad the lights are back on.

What a cool blog! Thank you for hosting. I will be back! Teresa from NanaHood.com
ReplyDeleteLoved the pic. Greetings
ReplyDeleteYes, very funny! It's always a case of the designer knowing exactly what he meant .... but not translating it well ....
ReplyDeleteNever seen a sign like that. I would have laughed too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou were probably not the only ones to make the observation. Wonder how the designers felt if this interpretation ever reached them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting
Happy Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteWell, my head didn't go there... but it did think they were pointing right... YAM xx
That is a funny sign. It makes sense, but you really have to look at it closely.
ReplyDeleteWell, Betty, I'm sitting here in the midst of a "nor'easter", waiting to see just what we;ll get from this one. Last week, we got torrential rains & winds causing lots of people to loose power....:)JP
ReplyDeleteHi Betty, the last weeks have been up and down with the internet, and I don't see my comment I put in yesterday. So here it is again. Love the coastal views of your new country - it is so beautiful here! Next to all the adjustments the first 5 years, it must be exiting to discover all the new places! Have a lovely week, Blog Friend1
ReplyDeleteNo apologies! There has been bad weather in many places, Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteIndeed... I missed you last Week. Nice to read you again.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, funny one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting.
Beautiful photos! Ha ha! Your husband's idea about the sign is spot on ;-)
ReplyDeleteHaha :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, made me look again!
ReplyDeleteFunny signs -- so fun! My daughter and I found one in Germany that seemed to indicate parents and children should not hold hands. She would walk along holding my hand and we would laugh at the sign. We never found out what it really meant!
