This is Bridge 95 over the Ongarue River, the last working car/train bridge in NZ. 
The last train crossed in 2009.

  1. ...Betty, I've only seen a few of the car/trains bridge, but the have been in cities. It looks like a sturdy things, I hope that they preserve it. Thanks for stopping by Tuesday's Treasure.

  4. I can't recall seeing anything like that anywhere I've been. I hope it will be preserved even if trains no longer use it.

  10. Great view of this old bridge! This is the time where it begins more to be like Fall weather - in the 30ties and 40ties at night and early morning in the mountains where I live. Thank you for your awesome post about the trains for All Seasons - some of my comments had trouble "sticking"!
