gulls on an island

We went to New Plymouth today and stopped at some of the lookouts.
The water was such a lovely color in the sun, but the photos didn't even come close!
So, I will show you one of the Sugar Loaf Islands  and the gulls on hanging out on it.

  7. There's nothing quite as exciting (or smelly) as a visit to a seabird colony.

  8. I know what you mean about the water - as good as our cameras are, sometimes the best picture is still the one we see with our own eyes. I love these shots of the gulls - looks like there will be babies soon!

  11. Wow a beautiful craggy place with all those birds. If you use a post processing program you can enhance the colours to make the shots more realistic.

  13. Betty instead of looking at the gulls, I ended up staring at the rough cragginess of the rocks along the shore. I guess we each are drawn to different things.
