Kingfisher

I think this little guy hunts in the river behind our house and comes
to our garden to chill out and watch the other birds. This photo
was taken through the window and he's just a few feet away.

    I love how the same birds seem to hang around the house. I have some Tui and Kereru that like the Puriri tree in my backyard.

    We went out to do some birding yesterday and saw two kingfishers (or the same one twice) but as soon as I raised my camera they took off. That is always my luck with this bird. Thanks for showing yours!!!
